After 30 hours of travel, we arrived at Hope Center at 4am on Thurs, yes A.M.! It was quite a trip, but God was already at work. Bill A avoided a serious collision on the way to the Mpls airport. We were late leaving Mpls so we were late for our plane leaving Wash.DC. They were just ready to close the plane doors as we ran up to the gate. Up and down stairs and escalators, on buses and trains, we did the OJ Simpson thing!
Then in Kiev, we had to wait 9 hours for the next flight. A few of us went to the WWII museum with Igor our translator. The rest hung out and protected all of our luggage. That was another God thing, we had 11 checked bags that all got to Hope Center!
Most of the team was up for breakfast by 9 and on to work. The cement demo started, the painting started and the gals ironed and organized.
As usual, the food is great and we eat with staff here and 4 young Ukrainian men who come back to help with the work teams. We have a Brit on our team and the guys think we need an interpreter for him! Lots of "teasing" going on, makes work fun.
Tonight is getting chilly and rain is coming in tomorrow. Looks like we'll find things to do indoors. Monday the girls come in for the Dream Project and Wed. 75 people come for 6 days of Glomos Pastoral Training. We get to be part of all of it!
